Mr. Emdad is a partner of J U Ahmed & Co., an Independent Director and Audit Committee Chairman of NRBC Bank PLC.

He is a Graduate (Honors) and Master's from the Accounting Dept of the University of Dhaka. He is a member of The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB-1993), The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB-1995), and The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA-USA- 2012). He is also a Certified Lead Auditor (ISO 9000). He completed his CA Articleship with S F Ahmed & Co., Chartered Accountants, a renowned audit firm in Bangladesh.

He has got a wide range of experience and exposure (for around 36 years) in the field of external audits, internal audits, ISO audits, finance, accounts, annual reports, policies and procedures, budgetary controls, finance management, asset valuation, feasibility reports, credit line management, HRD, supply chain management, IT, public issue of shares and securities, Initial Public Offers (IPO) of shares and securities, share dept and company secretarial issues, and so on, in different renowned group of companies in Bangladesh and some Arab countries.
